O escritor, editor, jornalista e criador multimedia, Wagner Merije, participa da 6ª edição do Festival Literário Internacional do Interior – FLII Palavras de Fogo, que ocorre em Portugal, em homenagem às vítimas dos incêndios florestais que ocorreram no país europeu.

O Festival Literário tem como lema “A arte e a cultura como reanimadores de uma região e de um povo”.

No renascer das cinzas há palavras com o autor Wagner Merije

Este festival tem como patrono Sua Exª o Senhor Presidente da República de Portugal, e como parceiros associados a Delegação Regional da Cultura do Centro, a Universidade de Coimbra, a Direção-Geral do Livro, dos Arquivos e das Bibliotecas (DGLAB), a Rede de Bibliotecas Escolares (RBE) e o Plano Nacional de Leitura (PNL).

Trata-se de um evento intermunicipal, daí o seu caráter inovador, que decorrerá em dez concelhos da região afetados pelos fogos, com o objetivo de levar os livros e os escritores aos sítios mais inusitados e imprevisíveis, como fábricas, campos, praias, igrejas, mercados, romarias, locais onde as pessoas trabalham e convivem. Os livros vão ao encontro dos públicos porque também eles têm saudades.

Esta edição celebra os centenários de Eduardo Lourenço, Eugénio de Andrade, Mário Cesariny, Natália Correia e Urbano Tavares Rodrigues, bem como os 50 anos da Associação Portuguesa de Escritores, com o tema “Pensamento, palavras, poesia. Língua de fogo na Imensa boca dessa angústia”. E porque este é um festival de causas, serão abordar questões candentes para o devir do mundo, desde logo a emergência ambiental.

Este festival congrega autarquias / instituições dos concelhos de Alvaiázere, Ansião, Arganil, Coimbra, Condeixa-a-Nova, Góis, Lousã, Miranda do Corvo, Pedrógão Grande, Tábua.

As bibliotecas municipais e as redes de bibliotecas escolares são cruciais na organização do FLII – Palavras de Fogo.

A decorrer de 15 a 18 de junho de 2023, em dez concelhos dos distritos de Coimbra e Leiria, o FLII – Palavras de Fogo, pretende envolver todos os agentes de desenvolvimento, de todos os municípios participantes e todos os talentos locais, em todas as atividades a realizar em simultâneo: ações de formação, concursos, palestras, workshops, leituras, feiras do livro, espetáculos, multimédia, performances, instalações, exposições, para e com todos os públicos de todas as faixas etárias.

O conceito subjacente a este festival é o de uma realização sinérgica, catalisando os recursos dos municípios e outras instituições integrantes do consórcio, rentabilizando e potenciando o melhor que cada um possui, num esforço conjunto de superar as adversidades. E, em nome da palavra regeneradora, onde houver pessoas haverá livros.

Eles estarão nos sítios mais inesperadas, à mão de quem os quiser ler, os escritores portugueses e estrangeiros irão aos locais mais surpreendentes, os livros e as palavras farão novamente renascer a cor por entre o negrume.

Durante o mês de junho haverá novamente a residência literária, cujos convidados percorrerão os concelhos do consórcio.

O FLII Palavras de Fogo conta ainda com a parceria de vários congéneres internacionais: Jaipur Literature Festival (Índia), FLIPoços, (Brasil), Book Worm (China), Festival de Poesia de Chepén Chepén (Peru), Ake Festival (Nigeria), Literary Festival (Dubai), entre outros.

Wagner Merije escreve sobre pessoas, lugares, sentimentos e acontecimentos. É autor de Sol do novo mundo – Fatos e curiosidades sobre a Independência do Brasil e outras guerras e revoluções que impactaram o mundo (2022), Conhece-te a ti mesmo – Pensamentos e práticas à procura de novas primaveras (2021), Psyché & Hamlet vão para Hodiohill (2019), Astros e Estrelas – Memórias de um jovem jornalista em Londres (2017), Cidade em transe (2015), Mobimento – Educação e Comunicação Mobile (2012) – finalista do Prêmio Jabuti 2013 na categoria Educação, dentre outros. Editou obras de Fernando Pessoa, Camões, Antero de Quental, Florbela Espanca, Camilo Castelo Branco, Mário de Sá-Carneiro, Camilo Pessanha, Pêro Vaz de Caminha, dentre outros.

In the rebirth of the ashes the words of the author Wagner Merije

This festival is patronized by His Exª the President of the Republic.

The associated partners are the Regional Delegation of Culture of the Centre, the University of Coimbra, the Directorate-General for Books, Archives and Libraries (DGLAB), the School Libraries Network (RBE) and the National Reading Plan (PNL).

This is an inter-municipal event, hence its innovative character, which will take place in ten municipalities in the region affected by the fires, with the aim of taking books and writers to the most unusual and unpredictable places, such as factories, fields, beaches, churches, markets, pilgrimages, places where people work and live. The books reach out to the public because they too miss it.

This edition celebrates the centenary of Eduardo Lourenço, Eugénio de Andrade, Mário Cesariny, Natália Correia and Urbano Tavares Rodrigues, as well as the 50th anniversary of the Portuguese Writers Association, with the theme “Thought, words, poetry. Tongue of fire in the Immense mouth of this anguish”. And because this is a festival of causes, we intend to address burning issues for the future of the world, from the outset the environmental emergency.

This festival brings together municipalities / institutions from the counties of Alvaiázere, Ansião, Arganil, Coimbra, Condeixa-a-Nova, Góis, Lousã, Miranda do Corvo, Pedrógão Grande, Tábua.

Municipal libraries and school library networks are crucial in organizing FLII – Palavras de Fogo.

Taking place from June 15 to 18, 2023, in ten municipalities in the districts of Coimbra and Leiria, FLII – Words of Fire, aims to involve all development agents, from all participating municipalities and all local talents, in all areas activities to be carried out simultaneously: training actions, competitions, lectures, workshops, readings, book fairs, shows, multimedia, performances, installations, exhibitions, for and with all audiences of all age groups.

The underlying concept of this festival is that of a synergistic achievement, catalyzing the resources of the municipalities and other institutions that are part of the consortium, making the most of and leveraging the best that each one has, in a joint effort to overcome adversity. And, in the name of the regenerating word, where there are people there will be books. They will be in the most unexpected places, at the hand

of anyone who wants to read them, Portuguese and foreign writers will go to the most surprising places, books and words will once again revive color amidst the darkness.

During the month of June there will again be a literary residence, whose guests will tour the consortium’s councils.
