Oh, meu pequeno, grande sonho,

By one’s own hand
For those who write by hand,
and for those who read by heart.
These ideas that race deep within my brain,
are they my own elaborations, or to whom do I give them name?
These fingers that run across the white page here,
do they express what I think, or illusion of the mind sincere?
This rhythm with which my heart does beat,
is it beat, or the flow of blood and oxygen’s heat?
This intelligence — is it my share of the heritage,
my cultivation, my conquest — or do I lose the courage?
Every living being, or not, must know its story,
evolution takes millions of years in its trajectory.
Whoever brought the baton here ran through generations,
crossing roads and challenges that seem no mere inventions.
Although, it is proven, the intelligence of the human being
has reached altitudes and highlands that not even god was foreseeing,
it is still far from being full,
or even peaceful and serene in its pull.
Therefore, I promise to be sincere with my errors and my rights,
and to keep contributing to the charism of affections’ lights.
I shall never flee the challenge imposed,
for well I know that every conquest demands much to be disclosed.
Oh, my small, great dream
of a world more serene,
I write to you by hand this inescapable manifesto
with the truth I carry and attest — honest and earnest.
